Diptyque Case
Between its home fragrances, its personal fragrances, and its recent return to the Bazaar of old, Diptyque creations never cease to amaze us. The world its three founders created keeps expanding through the singular strength of its aura.
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Diptyque entrusted us with the creation of an innovative case that could hold 50 different candles.
We accepted the challenge and lept into action. The case is built around a (French-origin, PEFC-certified) plywood frame, lined with canvas over a paper base, and emblazoned with a UV LED-printed Diptyque logo. The interior calibration is made of high-density foam and a lined cardboard grid. A folded and perforated handle can stand up to the case’s impressive size. The case’s exterior corners are protected by gilded fittings that were riveted by hand.
