BEHIND THE SCENES AT FPM PORTUGAL
Refinement, meticulousness and precision have always been the hallmarks of FPM Portugal, from its beginnings in 1986 as a manufacturer of small technical parts to producing luxury packaging for the most prestigious names in watchmaking and jewelry.
Magali and Nicolau Da Silva took over the family business five years ago. They invite you to take a sneak peek behind the scenes at the factory:
Bespoke design, autonomous production
The factory encompasses all the expertise required to produce packaging and boxes: design, prototyping, woodworking, painting, lining, hot stamping... the list goes on.
Its production is therefore perfectly autonomous, giving it the flexibility and reactivity to deal with any urgent need without compromising the customer’s requirements in terms of esthetics, quality or CSR.
Our expertise and versatility are as much a magnet for leading watch and jewelry companies as they are for niche brands. We provide hands-on, dependable supporton a number of levels: technical advice, project feasibility, and choosing the most appropriate materials to suit the customer’s budget and esthetic constraints.
For large orders, FPM Portugal operates an annual ordering system with scheduled deliveries, thereby limiting excess stock at the customer’s premises.
Since joining DIAM Group, it has extended its CSR expertise to include product Life Cycle Analysis, enabling it to offer the most eco-friendly alternatives possible.
European production
As part of DIAM Group, FPM Portugal stands for European production excellence, with a high production capacity and local presence.
Craftsmanship and industrial expertise go hand in hand at two production units, one of which is made up of automated, made-to-measure lines. This set-up allows for an extension of traditional craftsmanship, greatly increasing its efficiency, and enables thousands of pieces to be produced every day with unrivalled precision.
“Back to Europe”is FPM’s commitment to working closely with brands to reduce its environmental impact by limiting transport and opening up sourcing local, as well as improving its reactivity.
From pack to display
Packaging production is not the only string to FPM Portugal’s bow. For its watchmaking and jewelry customers, the company often follows up the production of a case or box with the development of displays. Display stands, glorifiers, trays, cloches... these arrangements adorn shop counters and window displays, in keeping with the look and materials developed for the packaging.
Again, the company’s expertise is reflected in its varied, sophisticated creations, with an eye for design and shape. FPM Portugal is renowned for its high-quality multimedia vision, mastering complex projects with creativity and a smile.
Let’s continue creating beautiful, locally-produced solutions together!
